".....Dear Stefan,
I just want to update you the information of your orders. As you may also hear from the other Chinese suppliers, the labor shortage is extremely serious this year in the whole China. In (цензурирано), most of the factories are suffered from the lack of the stitching staff. After we re-open the factory, we keep on expecting that the situation will definitely become good in a short time as the past years. And therefore, we can finish your order on March. However, everybody in China seems underestimate the shortage at the beginning of this year. Until today, we only have one third of the minimum required stitching staff on position. Although our cutting and injection staff are enough to start all the lines, the shortage of stitching makes the total output less than one third of that under the normal situation.
Under our estimation by the last week's schedule, we should be able to have almost 80% of the stitching people by this week so that we can still make March orders on March because the traditional job fair was open last week. However, the fair this year is totally breaking our heart. Under the current situation, I have to let you know that all of our orders should be delayed for a Month including yours. Of course, if more worker can get back to factory in the next few weeks, we are able to shorten the delay, but how many days we can shorten depends on when and how many work can be back to our factory. I am very sorry to tell you about the delay, but if there is no workers, we really can do nothing to improve the shipment this time. I beg your understanding this time as we are not the only one who are suffering from the labor shorage.
And considering the delay now will cause the delay of all following orders in the next few month, I have noticed that our schedule might be full in May. So, as you mentioned you want us to keep a production space for you on May, I think you'd better give some information now so that I can still keep some space for you.
Best Regard,......"
